The outgoing Fatah regime in the Palestinian Authority voted on March 5th to grant honorary citizenship to Lebanese terrorist Samir Quntar who murdered a 4-year-old Israeli girl and her father...Various organizations in the Palestinian Authority responded with applause to the announcement of granting honorary citizenship to the two terrorists.

This sets a horrible example for young Arab children - these are the people who should be their heros?

Of course very sad and unfortunate. A symbol of the complete degradation of the relationship between Israelis and Palestinians since the collapse of Oslo. There is nothing I can say to justify the act, but I guess I would only say that these things don't happen in a vaccum. Both sides have dehumanized each other to a somewhat astonishing degree, and the environment has become so toxic that there are many Palestinians who would celebrate the murder of that innocent girl and her father.

True, things don't happen in a vacuum.

However to point out a difference between the two sides here, although Baruch Goldstein may be revered by a very small minority of people, the Israeli government and the large majority of people in Israel has condemned and disowned his actions, not praised them.

Exactly-- that's the difference.

There are a few violent nut-cases in every society-- but different countries treat them in different ways. (I just seeded another article about how the Arabs are making a hero out of this brutal murderer: Arab Civilization, Hizballah's Red Carpet, and the HERO of Arabi).

very disturbing and unfortunate. It's a shame. Yet it does not surprise me coming from the Palestinians. I was at first speechless before I read the article, because instead of Palestinian Authority, I assumed "PA" meant Pennsylvania.
