In tandem, there was scant paid attention to a disquieting comment by Obama when he spoke effusively about a 2002 Saudi peace initiative for normalization of relations between the Arab world and Israel. The Saudi initiative, which would end Israel as a Jewish state, is now also the official position of the entire Arab League.
In a brief press statement, the White House said "the President reiterated his appreciation for Saudi Arabia's leadership in promoting the Arab peace initiative."
Later, President Obama's Middle East Special Envoy, George Mitchell, said the U.S. intends to "incorporate" the initiative into its Middle East policy
That stops short of an explicit endorsement of the Saudi-Arab plan, but it comes uncomfortably close. Either way, Obama's gushing over the Saudi initiative hardly can be reconciled with his oft-repeated assurances that Israel can count on U.S "unwavering support" of its basic security interests.

I surprised that Obamas nose came up clean when he bowed to the Saudi King.

A friend wrote me, "you can take a person out of Mecca; but, you can't take Mecca out of the person" -- then asked "is anyone, anywhere surprised that Obama is sympathetic to the Muslim faith. I didn't hear one news story comment on the fact that all Muslims are subjects of the Saudi King and are required to bow to him. Barack didn't bow to the Queen of England which is the required courtesy by protocol; but, he did bow to the King of Saudi which only his subjects (Muslims) are required to do." I'm not one to subscribe to conspiracy theories or another "Manchurian Candidate" explanation but in answer to her question, no I'm not surprised when it comes to the actions or the words of a person who was a member of church that preached anti-Semitism and hatred of Jews for 20 years.

Mighty disturbing. I wonder whether Obama regrets bowing before Abdullah (with media present).
Jordan destroyed numerous synagogues there and used Jewish tombstones from the Mount of Olives to build a road.
Someone else in history did something similar.
