Even many Palestinian kids are brought up to love the idea of being a shahid ("martyr"-- and to seek death): "Ask for Death". With such extensive indoctrination like this-- from such an early age-- one can't help but wonder how they could possibly change, even if peace was to come to the area..???

Simplistic Reality

Lame. The video was taking down by Youtube by a "copyright complaint". Way to go Google. Keeping censorship alive I see.

When I went on the first convoy, I wanted to be a Shahid (martyr). I wasn't that lucky.

Unlucky for everyone else he hasn't taken his own life yet. What a dumb ass. Brainwashing is alive and thriving in Islam.

There's been a lot of discussion, pro and con, about the Greek's action in stopping the flotilla. But one thing is often overlooked-- given the mindset of some of the participants (as this article indicates)-- the Greek action may well have saved lives. Good on ya Greece! :-)

Isn't it a bit odd...
That there are people whose lives are so useless and of less value, that they want to die for those who bring this kind of life for them in the first place?

Their leaders do not live in squalor and poverty, yet they command these kids to go and die for their ideals. Are their followers so desperate to escape that martyrdom is the only answer to their misery? Do they even understand that they are simply the disposable pawns that are wasted to ensure the foothold on the power of their leaders?

I can't imagine being brought up in such hate and discontent that my life would be worthless. I can't imagine giving my life or anybody else for that matter, just to keep my own oppressor in power.

Yes-- isn't it interesting that their leaders send the masses off to die-- yet they themselves lives lives of luxury?
